A Case of Adenocarcinoma of Pancreas Associated with Neurofibromatosis

Abstract

|
he association of neurofibromatosis with malignant transformation of the neurofibromas well established. An increase incidenced of neoplasms including tumors involving central or peripheral nervous systems has been suggested. Gastrointestinal
involvement appears to be rare, and usually consists of neurofibromas, ganglioneuromas, leiomyomas, colonic epithelial tumor and small intestinal adenocarcinomas have been also reported.
We wish to report an unusual occurrence of adenocarcinoma of the pancreas in a
48-year-old man with neurofibromatosis with a brief review of literature.
